Last night was Pizza Night at our house. I made a short time-lapse video of making the pizza with the GoPro camera. I love making pizza and we have been using Daiya, and pineapple to top our pizza lately, which is great. But as you can see in the photo, we also love just sauce covered pizza, and even our bread stick style, just olive oil and salt. It’s always fun to make homemade pizza.
Angel and I have already started playing around with the GoPro HD HERO we just got. We tried the Time Lapse Photography feature out as Angel made soup yesterday. It was a lot of fun. We set the camera up on a shelf, taking 485 photos over the course of an hour, at a rate of every 10 seconds. We compiled the photos together and made this nice little video. Enjoy!
This is just one fun thing that we are able to do with the camera. The Time Lapse Photography feature allow photos to be taken every 2, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds. I think we will be able make a lot of fun videos with this feature.

For those of you in the Pacific Northwest you probably already know about Dave’s Killer Bread. Dave’s makes the finest bread you can buy at the grocery market (only available in states on the west coast or mail order). All Dave’s breads are organic, whole grain, choose the best ingredients(all kosher and vegan), and are baked right outside of Portland, OR. Their slogan is “Just say no to bread on drugs!”. The bread has NO artificial flavors or preservatives. My favorites are the Good Seed for toast and peanut butter sandwiches, and the Blues Buns are great for making the perfect Boca Burger. They have lots to choose from and I have never been disappointed by any of their bread.
Something those of you who already love Dave’s might not know yet is Dave’s has recently come out with bagels called Good Seed Halos. The other day, looking at the store, we came across the Halos and wanted to try them. I am a person who eat a bagel almost every day. I tend to choose the cheaper bagels or whatever on sale but I love all the Dave’s products so I had to try them right away. They come in a 4 pack for $5.19, which is a bit pricey. Each bagel is large (3.8oz) each in a comparison to the store brand bagels being 3oz (Fred Meyer/Kroger Brand). Each Good Seed Halo is nutrient packed, covered with lots of seeds just like the Good Seed Bread making them amazing.
I tried the bagels toasted with Adams Peanut Butter, Earth Balance, and Tofutti Better the Cream Cheese. With all of these the bagels were amazing. I enjoyed it so much I had a second bagel right away. The bagels are soft, toast well, and have great flavor. These are the best bagels I have ever had.

I picked up some elephant garlic the other day at the store to make some great garlic bread with a loaf ciabatta. I roasted 1 clove in foil for just over half an hour. The clove became super soft. After that I put olive oil on the bread, and cut into the clove. The knife cut through it smoothly like I was cutting warm butter. I spread it on top of the ciabatta and sprinkled a little salt over the top. I put it under the broiler for just under 5 minutes, and it was perfect.
Three large cloves to each bulb.
The cloves are larger then most entire bulbs of garlic.
The garlic just baked in the foil in its juices and was perfect.
The bread was perfectly toasted on the top.
The meal was perfect. Yes, all I ate was the garlic bread. It had a really good taste to it, not a strong garlic flavor.
So today we cleaned up our new place a bit. We were having friends over for pizza. I forgot to dock the pizza dough on the 3rd pizza I made for bread sticks. I usually forget to just salt it. It is prone to get bubbles but never this bad.
It still came out ok for the most part.
Our friends brought over some nice fruit salad and sunflowers.
After they left Angel and I went for a nice bike ride to UofO and back as it got darker out.
